August 30, 1957
Federal Judge Davis orders the Little Rock School District to proceed with plans of gradual integration.

September 2, 1957
Arkansas Governor, Orval Faubus, order the National Guard to prohibit the students from entering Central.

September 25, 1957
1200 Members of the 101 Airborne Division, sent by President Eisenhower, escort the students into Central.

January 24, 1958
Central High School receives its fifth bomb threat.

February 21, 1958
After retaliating against her tormentors, Minnijean Brown is expelled and leaves for New York.

May 25, 1958
Ernest Green becomes the first black student to graduate from Central High School (see photo).
